Rough Trade On Tour 2014
Open for 3 days only over the Disquaire Day weekend on Friday 18th April until Sunday 20th April, Rough Trade On Tour will be located at Point Ephemere, 200 Quai de Valmy, Paris, 75010.

Rough Trade On Tour – Disquaire Day 2014 will offer a typical Rough Trade edit of only the very best music, both vinyl and cd, much of which will be especially released for Disquaire Day, meaning many rarities that are sure to sell out FAST. This year we will also be bringing a much more extensive selection of UK Record Store Day releases with us. Those Rough Trade exclusive bonus discs will also be crossing the channel and some very intimate in-store events and DJ sets will be taking place over the weekend from the best acts around. We’ve even got a film screening!
Over the weekend we are absolutely thrilled and very honored to be joined by our Album Of The Year 2013 artist John Grant who will be performing an exclusive set especially for the occasion. Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) will be joining us for a special acoustic performance as well as playing an eclectic DJ set. We have a screening all about the legendary electronic African musician William Onyeabor entitled ‘Fantastic Man’, as well as DJ sets from Ed Banger Records head honcho Pedro ‘Busy P’ Winter and Joe Goddard from Hot Chip. We’re also lucky enough to include some French bands in the line up this year with performances from Natas Loves You, Gaspard Royant, Isaac Delusion as well as Balades Sonores acts La Feline & Chinese Army and Pan European acts Buvette and Flavien Berger. Other live appearances come from Aidan Knight, OY, WhoMadeWho, Liz Green, and This Is The Kit plus DJ Sets from Pilooski, Emile Omar, Hugo Mendez, Night Works, Blackjoy, Koudlam and Zombie Zombie – phew!! Quite a few names are still to be announced so please check the daily line ups here for updates…
Point Éphémère is an arts centre located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris on the canal Saint Martin.
Its objective is to welcome the public, carry out active involvement throughout the city and provide a location for an artist-in-residency programme. It is lead by the team of Usines Ephémères who have been converting run-down and unused buildings into temporary artistic spaces for twenty years. This dynamic centre for the arts opened in October 2004. It provides the necessary means for all artist residencies (visual artists, musicians, dancers, scenographists) and the tools for public recognition of their work. From the beginning, Point Ephémère has accommodated such artists and offers a large programme of exhibitions, concerts, performances, conferences, workshops and unusual happenings.
“J’aime la musique is not just a small sentence written on a t-shirt. At agnès b. it is a real commitment! The motivations: to reveal up and coming bands, provide visibility to record labels and young artists… independent like us.
Legendary Ed Banger label boss Pedro ‘Busy P’ Winter will be hosting a special Record Store Day feature on Thursday giving you a preview of what’s available from Rough Trade on Tour at Point Ephemere on Disquaire Day. Over the weekend we will be joined by radio station Le Mouv who will be broadcasting live shows from the store including a very special Friday night broadcast from Laura Leishman Project with interviews from our special guests and a visit from Olivier Cachin and Sandrine Vendel who will be around on Disquaire Day morning to capture the atmosphere from the record buying public.
