'givin' it up' and 'just talk' is the debut 12" of electronic pop act the work, hailing from bergen, norway. the title track is an anthemic slice of electro sitting somewhere between annie, the knife and royksopp (it must be those long dark nights) while 'just talk' is a pure pop nugget and the skatebard mix adds a healthy dose of shannon's 'let the music play'. the work were formed in 2002, and have since been writing and recording music for their debut album, which is planned for release in the end of the year. this is the first in a series of four 12' releases by the work in 2007, all of which will be released by powerblytt records.
