lock up your sons! the notorious ping pong bitches are back and ready to unleash their new album 'alphadog'. signed by mark moore from s'express, the bitches, renowned for their seductive brand of rock 'n' roll disco and couldnt give a fuck attitude, are deadly serious when it comes to their music. their last lp came out on poptones in 2002, and the interim period has seen the band channel their high octane energy levels into the studio. they mix up korg riffs and guitar licks with attitude and intensity, and the result is 'alphadog', thirteen tracks about sex, teenage boys, high heels and psychosis. all four bitches share an obsession for rock, electro and hip hop. a diverse range of artists have influenced their sound: daft punk, ramones, blondie, lil kim, serge gainsbourg and soft cell. the result is an album thats loaded with multicultural music, futuristic feminism, post modern irony, sexual emancipation and don't-mess-with-me glam. most recently they provided guest vocals on the prodigy's hit single 'girls' and their music has featured on the widely know tv show c.s.i. they boast a pedigree of pure rock 'n' roll and a fiercely independent spirit which has earned them the patronage of some of the industry's most notorious and successful managers including malcolm mcclaren, alan mcghee and the prodigys mike champion. the album is choc full of guitar rich, electro punk disko floor fillers, including their first single 'roc ya body' which is an genre twisting epic of a song which combines elements of hip hop, electro and rock/pop quite masterfully, as does the second single 'the beast'. the album even includes a twisted cover of the soft cell classic 'bedsitter'.
