CAZALS
to cut a long story short
Release Date: 17/12/2007
cazals hail from the four corners of england, and through friendships and tip-offs combined to make the band they are today. they built their reputation from the ground up, paving their way by performing at their own all night warehouse parties and completing an impressive two year gigging schedule. live, the band are brimming with energy, replete with confidence. you may have seen them on the road with babyshambles, bloc party, the rakes and razorlight or at one of their numerous headline uk and european shows. or you may have danced to, or be lucky enough to own, previous limited edition singles 'beat me to the bone', 'poor innocent boys' and 'comfortable silence'. ever cool french label kitsune were so convinced by the band, that they decided to make an exception to their single and electronic only policy, and put the band in a parisian studio to make their debut album with julien delfaud (phoenix, herman dune) to be released in 2008. 'to cut a long story short' is a cover of the classic spandau ballet track and they've given it a 2007 makeover with a gang of four esque rhythm section, cockney vocals and a flowing and insistent guitar hook. the limited 7" comes backed by 'both sides' (version 1).
