yeah, yeah, yeah, the return of the vermont sugar house. nine years after the band's debut release on firestation records we're more than happy to present you their mighty first longplayer. 'carlton gardens' contains such all time faves as 'i only ever' or 'braveheart' plus brand new material recorded over the last couple of years, which shows the ex desert wolves members at their best. the desert wolves were around in manchester during the late 80s and released two amazing 12" singles on legendary ugly man records. the band split up soon after only to reform a decade later under the name vermont sugar house. back in 1999 the band signed to firestation records to release their first single proper 'braveheart'. "braveheart" became one of firestation records best selling releases ever. soon after the desert wolves backcatalogue was re-released on the compilation-album 'pontification'. the vinyl-version of this album was exclusively made for vinyl japan. a deluxe edition of 'pontification' is planed for autumn 2008.
