THE ELVIS SUICIDE
sweethearts
Release Date: 11/05/2009
cowboys in pain are proud to present the blistering new mini-album from the elvis suicide- 'sweethearts'. based in glasgow, the elvis suicide bypassed the traditional stage shows of their peers and chose instead to execute their riotous performances in such glamorous locations as a disused nunnery and a fetish club. in may 2008 the band unleashed their debut 7" single, the sci-fi steven of bis produced, 'surveying the young professionals'. the single was met with great acclaim across europe and pricked up some ears stateside too with upstarts titus andronicus and the legendary john 'speedo' reiss (rocket from the crypt) both salivating over the band. 'sweethearts' was recorded in one hell-raising day with producer andy miller (mogwai, sons and daughters). with a death like stomp of horrors-sized riffs smashing against the zombie-like prowess of eighties matchbox b'line disaster, they're definitely onto something.
