a rough trade exclusive! urichipangoon live in a world of their own. a place where man eating flowers grow alongside mountain rivers, and people walk around with giant mushrooms on their heads. tightly formed pop folk songs dissolve into psychedelic improvisations, with japanese melodic motifs rolling under layers of vocal harmonies, circled with writhing synth snakes and skittery drum patterns. with elements of cornelius cross pollinated with the animal collective, stirred in with little hints of boredoms, it is in a tropical world of its own. totally recommended.
