brooklyn's remix artists turned legit dance mongers, holy ghost! trade covers with friendly fires for this split limited 12". holy ghost! takes on friendly fires' 'on board' from the band's self-titled xl recordings debut. in an unlikely move, holy ghost! actually toned friendly fires' 'on board' down a few notches, swerving away from their signature dfa-riddled sound, but still sounding very dfa, naturally. on the flip friendly fires do an inspired disco re-vamp of holy ghost!'s 'hold on' with a stronger bass line, more cowbells and also a great use of the original synth line.
