Baba Zula

Turkish alternative musical group, Baba Zula, was founded in Istanbul in 1996. With a wide variety of influences and a diverse range of instruments, they have created a unique psychedelic sound that captivates audiences worldwide.

The band consists of talented musicians including Murat Ertel on electric saz, electronic sounds, and vocals; Levent Akman on electronic sounds and wooden spoons; Özgür Çakırlar on percussions; Melike Şahin on vocals and backing vocals; Periklis Tsoukalas on electric oud; Bahar Sarah as a dancer; and Nourah also as a dancer.

Over the years, Baba Zula has mesmerized listeners with their innovative music style. Their performances are enhanced by the past contributions of Emre Önel on goblet drum, Ceren Oykut on goblet drum, and Çoşar Kamçı also on goblet drum.
