Barry White

Barry White was an American musician, composer, and producer. Born on September 12, 1944, in Galveston, Texas, he began his career as a pianist and made several recordings under his own name and as a member of various groups. While he had some success as a solo artist, White found greater success managing other artists and formed Love Unlimited and the Love Unlimited Orchestra to accompany himself and the vocal trio. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated in the early 2000s, leading to his death on July 4, 2003.

Barry White started his musical journey as a pianist before making recordings under different names with various groups. Although he achieved some success as a solo artist, he truly thrived when managing other talented musicians like Felice Taylor and Viola Wills. In 1969, he founded Love Unlimited - a female vocal trio consisting of Diane Taylor and Glodean James (who would later become his wife) along with her sister Linda. To enhance their performances further, White also established the Love Unlimited Orchestra - an impressive ensemble comprising forty members that provided music direction, composition, and arrangement.

In spite of Barry White's accomplishments in the music industry over the years, his health began to decline at the turn of the millennium. Sadly on July 4th of 2003 in Los Angeles California at age fifty-eight due to kidney failure; this legendary musician passed away leaving behind an enduring
