Burzum

Burzum is the solo project of Norwegian black metal artist Varg Vikernes. Founded in 1991, the act was originally active until 2000 before being revived again in 2009. On June 1, 2018, Vikernes announced the end of the Burzum project on his YouTube channel but later revived it in October 2019.

With a dark and atmospheric sound, Burzum has become one of the most influential figures in the black metal genre. Drawing inspiration from various sources including Norse mythology and nature, *Varg Vikernes* creates music that evokes a sense of raw emotion and intensity.
