Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (often abbreviated CYHSY) is the musical project of American indie rock musician Alec Ounsworth. Founded in 2004, the group is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Brooklyn, New York. The band's lineup has evolved over the years but originally included drummer Sean Greenhalgh, keyboardist/guitarist Robbie Guertin, and brothers Lee (guitar/vocals) and Tyler (bass) Sargent. Their self-released debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, was a breakout success in 2005.
