Grand Funk Railroad

Grand Funk Railroad is a hard rock band from Flint, Genesee County, Michigan (USA). Formed in 1969, the band consists of Mark Farner on vocals and guitar, Don Brewer on drums and vocals, Mel Schacher on bass, and Craig Frost on keyboards. Highly popular during the 1970s, Grand Funk Railroad toured constantly to packed arenas worldwide. Rolling Stone Magazine's David Fricke declares that "You cannot talk about rock in the 1970s without talking about Grand Funk Railroad!" The band's name is a clever play on words of the Grand Trunk and Western Railroad, which ran through their hometown of Flint.
