Highasakite

Highasakite is an indie pop and rock band from Norway, formed in 2012 by Ingrid Helene Håvik and Trond Bersu. The duo quickly gained success with their debut album, winning the Spellemanspris "Newcomer of the year" award in 2012. Over time, Highasakite expanded to a five-piece band but faced a bitter conflict in 2017 that led to a legal battle over the ownership of the band's name. Marthe Eberson, Øystein Skaar, and Kristoffer Lo felt they were forced out of the band during this process. Today, Håvik and Bersu continue to record as a duo under the Highasakite name.

With influences from artists like Susanne Sundfør, Bendik, and Frida Ånnevik among others, Highasakite creates captivating music that combines elements of indie pop and rock. Their unique sound has garnered them a dedicated fan base both in Norway and internationally.
