Kula Shaker

Kula Shaker is a British indie-rock band formed by Crispian Mills and Alonza Bevan in 1988. Known for their Eastern-fused sound influenced by Crispian's Hinduism, the band went through various lineup changes and name alterations before splitting in 1999 due to personality clashes and record company interference. Crispian pursued other musical projects while Alonza joined Johnny Marr's band Healers. However, they reunited in 2004 and released new music, including the "Revenge of the King" E.P.

During their hiatus, Crispian compiled a compilation album called "Kollected" featuring a previously unreleased Bob Dylan cover, which became the band's final recorded song before their split. In 2006, Harry Broadbent joined as Jay Darlington's replacement on keyboards.

Despite facing challenges throughout their career, Kula Shaker remains an influential force in indie-rock with their unique blend of Western and Eastern sounds.
