Larry Heard

Larry Heard, born on May 31st, 1960 in Chicago, is a renowned DJ, producer, and musician. He began his musical journey playing drums in various bands from 1977 to 1984. In 1984, he embarked on a solo career and purchased a keyboard and drum machine to create his own unique sound.

Heard's talent led him to compose deep house classics such as "Mystery Love" and "Washing Machine." Since then, he has produced numerous dance hits and released albums that span across genres including underground, deep house, and ambient music.

As the founder of the influential group Fingers Inc., alongside Ron Wilson and Robert Owens, Larry Heard is widely recognized as a pioneering figure in the Chicago House music scene of the 1980s. His contributions have left an indelible mark on the industry.
