Leroy Hutson

Leroy Hutson is an American vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter and producer. Born on June 4th, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey, he has made significant contributions to the music industry.

Having been a roommate of Donny Hathaway, Leroy co-wrote the 1970 hit "The Ghetto". In 1971, he took over as the lead singer of The Impressions after Curtis Mayfield's departure. However, Leroy left the group in 1973 to pursue a solo career while remaining with the Curtom label until December 1979.

As a talented artist with his own unique style and sound, Leroy Hutson owns Triumph Records (17). His music resonates with fans who also enjoy artists such as Lamont Dozier, Leon Ware, The Natural Four and many others from various genres.
