Louie Vega is an American house music DJ, producer/remixer, and artist. Born on 12 June 1965 in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA, he is based in NYC and is best known for his productions with Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez as Masters At Work and Nuyorican Soul. He is also a member of Elements Of Life with Josh Milan.
Vega began his professional DJ career in 1985 at a club called The Devil's Nest and has since held residencies at various renowned venues including Hearthrob, Roseland, The Palladium, Studio 54, and The Sound Factory Bar. He continues to captivate audiences worldwide through his performances on the international DJ circuit.
As the son of Luis Vega Sr. and father of Nico Vega, Louie Vega comes from a musical lineage. He is also the nephew of Hector Lavoe. Ana Martins (aka Anané) is his current wife while India is his former spouse.
