Ronnie Spector

Ronnie Spector, born Veronica Yvette Bennett on August 12, 1943 in Manhattan, New York City, USA, is a renowned artist and member of the girl group The Ronettes. She gained fame as the frontwoman of the group while her husband at the time, record producer Phil Spector, produced their music. Despite their separation in 1972, Ronnie continued to use the name Spector professionally. In 1982, she married her manager Jonathan Greenfield and together they raised two sons. Tragically, Ronnie passed away from cancer on January 12, 2022 at the age of 78.

Known as the original "bad girl of rock and roll," Ronnie Spector's contributions to music have been recognized with her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 as a member of The Ronettes.
