Samuel Rohrer

Samuel Rohrer is a Swiss jazz drummer, born in 1977 in Bern and currently based in Berlin. With a musical upbringing and starting to play piano at the age of 7, he later transitioned to drums at 14 under the guidance of Gilbert Paeffgen. After studying arts and music in Berne and Boston, Rohrer has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sidsel Endresen, Nils Petter Molvaer, Vincent Courtois, Malcolm Braff, Daniel Erdmann, Trygve Seim, Bänz Oester, Matthieu Michel, Colin Vallon, Erik Truffaz, Mark Feldman, Ferenc Snetberger , Joao Paulo Esteves da Silva, Markus Stockhausen and Arild Andersen.

His diverse collaborations showcase his versatility as a musician across various genres. Samuel Rohrer's unique style combines rhythmic intricacy with melodic sensitivity. His contributions have enriched the works of numerous artists throughout his career.
