Skinny Puppy

Canadian band Skinny Puppy, founded in late 1982 in Vancouver, BC, consists of members cEvin Key (keyboards, percussion) and Nivek Ogre (vocals). They gained recognition after signing with Nettwerk via their demo tape "Back And Forth" and releasing their first EP "Remission" in 1984. With their records released in Europe by Play It Again Sam, they continued to make waves.

In 1985, Skinny Puppy released their first LP "Bites", featuring Wilhelm Schroeder (better known as Bill Leeb) on keyboards. The following year saw Dwayne R. Goettel replace Schroeder on keyboards. Over a career spanning over two decades and numerous releases, Skinny Puppy has remained influential within the industrial/gothic/ebm genre.

Skinny Puppy disbanded temporarily after the tragic death of Goettel in August 1995 but returned for a one-off concert appearance at the Doomsday festival in Dresden, Germany in 2000. Their comeback studio album "The Greater Wrong Of The Right" was released in 2004 to great anticipation. Since then, they have continued to tour worldwide and release new music under Metropolis Records.
