The Germs

The Germs were an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. They were originally active from 1977 to 1980 and again from 2005 to 2013. The band's final line-up consisted of *Pat Smear* on guitar, *Lorna Doom* on bass (who sadly passed away in 2019), *Don Bolles* on drums, and *Shane West* on vocals during their later years.

Formed during the height of the punk rock movement, The Germs quickly gained a reputation for their raw and energetic live performances. Their music was characterized by fast-paced rhythms, aggressive guitar riffs, and intense lyrics that often challenged societal norms.

Influenced by bands like Black Flag, Sex Pistols, and The Clash, The Germs became one of the pioneering groups in the American punk scene. Despite their relatively short initial run as a band, they left a lasting impact on the genre with their influential sound and rebellious attitude.
