Todd Rundgren

Todd Rundgren is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He was born on June 22, 1948 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Rundgren began his career in the blues band Woody's Truck Stop before forming Nazz in 1967. As a solo artist, he released several successful albums including "Runt," "Something/Anything?," and "A Wizard, A True Star." Rundgren also worked as a producer for other groups at Bearsville Studios and experimented with different musical genres. His discography includes both studio and live albums with his backing band Utopia.

Throughout his career, Todd Rundgren continued to release solo material such as "Faithful," "Hermit of Mink Hollow," and "Healing." In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he adopted the persona TR-i ("Todd Rundgren interactive") and explored the possibilities of internet-based music distribution. Rundgren's diverse body of work includes bossa-nova covers of his older material on the album "With a Twist" as well as techno remixes by other artists on "Reconstructed."
