Whirr

Whirr is an American shoegaze band from the San Francisco Bay Area. The group formed in 2010, originally as Whirl, but had to legally change its name after a woman performing acoustic covers of Black Sabbath songs trademarked the name and threatened a lawsuit.

Known for their distinctive shoegaze sound, Whirr's music often draws comparisons to influential bands like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. With dreamy guitar textures and ethereal vocals, their music creates a captivating sonic experience that transports listeners into a hazy realm of introspection.

Since their formation, Whirr has released several critically acclaimed albums and EPs, earning them a dedicated fanbase around the world. Their unique blend of atmospheric melodies and wall-of-sound guitars has solidified their place within the shoegaze genre and continues to captivate audiences with each new release.
