Ipecac Recordings, founded by Greg Werckman and Mike Patton in 1999, has been making waves in the music industry for over two decades. With a reputation for pushing boundaries and challenging conventions, this label has earned its slogan of "Making people sick since 1999".

During its early years, Ipecac Recordings faced challenges in reaching European audiences. Fans had to import their favorite releases from the label's website or American online stores. However, thanks to partnerships with Caroline Distribution and Southern Records between 2000 and 2006, European editions became more accessible.

In 2006, Ipecac signed an exclusive distribution deal with Fontana for both Europe and the USA. This milestone allowed the label to expand its reach even further and solidify its presence in the global music scene.
