New Zealand born / Brisbane-raised / London-based ‘Are We Live’ crew member Jordan Rakei is singer-songwriter, producer and accomplished performer. This is his third album and it’s inspired by visions of a dystopian future as imagined by Charlie Brooker on Black Mirror, Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and of course Twin Peaks. He’s worked with Loyle Carner, Terrace Martin, Richard Spaven and Nile Rodgers. Moving, shifting, swirling keyboards plus smooth soulful vocals. Easy beat-tripping swatches of sound. A slick production that’s warm and meticulous and sparking. Sounds augment and showcase the lush vocals.
