Compilation of his 12" eps "Oscar Jerome" + "Where Are Your Branches?", packaged with a Japanese Obi-strip. Oscar Jerome was born in Norfolk in the east of England and is now based in the South London area. As well as his own specialist jazz, this young songwriter, who loves funk, soul and hip hop, graduated from Trinity Music College, where Tom Misch also studied, and in 2019 He was the support act for Kamasi Washington's UK tour and performed at SXSW, gaining worldwide recognition. His first album, Breathe Deep, was released in 2020 to a resounding response from music fans and the media, and his second album, The Spoon, in 2022, with its stunning sound, cemented his presence on the UK contemporary jazz scene. This is an original Japanese release, compiling two 12-inch EPs, the debut EP Oscar Jerome from 2016 and Where Are Your Branches? which were both released independently in 2018. The UK neo-soul - jazz sound, backed by solid jazz-based musicianship, is in the vein of artists such as Tom Misch and King Krull, who also emerged from South London.
