primal scream's seminal album 'screamadelica' defined a generation. its mix of rock, dance, dub, gospel and more caught the zeitgeist of the early nineties to perfection and it went on to win the inaugural mercury music prize in 1992, consistently being named as 'best album of the nineties' and appearing in numerous 'all time best albums' lists. this show, recorded and filmed on november 26th 2010 at london's olympia, was the first time that primal scream had performed the whole album live and it became one of the 'must see' gigs of the year. the band was accompanied by a brass section and a gospel choir with back projections specially created for the event. the result was a stunning musical and visual triumph and proved, if it needed to be, that 'screamadelica' is one of the finest albums ever made and that primal scream are one of the truly great live bands. cd1 contains the screamadelica album performed live in its entirety. cd2 contains the rock set performed as the opening part of the concert. dvd contains the 'screamadelica' set as the main show and the rock set as the bonus material. the 3 discs are packaged in a cd slimline jewel case. fantastic value 3 disc set with the whole concert available on cd and dvd. first time the rock set has been available on cd. includes the classics 'movin' on up', 'come together', 'loaded', 'higher than the sun', 'rocks', 'country girl', 'swastika eyes', 'accelerator' and more.
