Spiritbox is an experimental metalcore band hailing from British Columbia, Canada. The band was formed in 2016 by two members of Iwrestledabearonce. With Courtney LaPlante on vocals and Michael "Mike" Stringer on guitar, they create a unique sound that pushes the boundaries of the genre. In 2020, Zev Rose joined as the drummer, bringing his own flair to their music. Josh Gilbert recently became a member in 2023 as the bassist. Together, they continue to captivate audiences with their innovative approach to metalcore.

It operates under the name BMG Chrysalis in the USA, UK, and Sweden, following its acquisition of Chrysalis plc. In 2012, Bertelsmann bought out Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.'s share of the company after an unsuccessful attempt to acquire EMI's recorded-music assets. While BMG Rights Management is the successor of the original Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), it has undergone significant changes and now operates independently with no connection to its former incarnation.
