Box Sets

The Go-Betweens were a pop-rock/new wave band formed in Brisbane, Australia in 1977. The band was founded by singer-songwriters and guitarists, Robert Forster and Grant McLennan. They later added Lindy Morrison on drums, Robert Vickers on bass guitar, and Amanda Brown on violin, oboe, guitar, and backing vocals. After disbanding in late 1989, Forster and McLennan reformed the band in 2000 with a new lineup. Tragically, McLennan passed away from a heart attack in 2006 leading to the second disbandment of The Go-Betweens.

In 1988, their single "Streets of Your Town" became their biggest chart hit both in Australia and the United Kingdom (UK). Another single from their album 16 Lovers Lane titled "Was There Anything I Could Do?" reached No. 16 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in the United States. Additionally, their song "Cattle and Cane" from Before Hollywood released in 1983 was recognized as one of the Top 30 Australian songs of all time by Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) in May 2001. In recognition of its impact on rock music during the 1980s era, Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) TV's The Great Australian Albums series featured their album 16 Lovers Lane as a classic example.</

Domino is an independent label founded in Putney, South West London by *a694357* and his partner Jacqui Rice in 1993. The label initially focused on American acts such as *Sebadoh*, *Pavement* or *Royal Trux* before signing British acts in the late '90s.

The label operates a US division, located in Brooklyn, which output was initially identified by its own catalogue number schemes, DOMUS then DNO (used until 2013), when the releases handled by the UK headquarters are identified by WIG (albums) and RUG (singles and EPs) catalogue numbers.

The company operating the label, *Warp Records*, diversified, establishing a publishing arm and a series of labels (*Double Six Recordings*, *Weird World Record Co.*, *Rephlex*, ...).

G Stands For Go-Betweens Volume 3&nbsp;extensively documents the band’s twenty-first century output in an ambitious box containing four vinyl albums, seven compact discs and an extensive 112-page book, featuring a trove of archival photos and extensive historical liner notes from founding member Robert Forster, along with additional pieces from guest essayists, fans and contemporaries.

The box set includes the first vinyl re-pressings of the last three studio albums, The Friends Of Rachel Worth, Bright Yellow Bright Orange and Oceans Apart, the latter remixed for this release by original producer Mark Wallis. G Stands For Go-Betweens Volume 3 also includes a new LP comprised of a lively acoustic radio session Forster and McLennan recorded for Bayern 2 Radio in Munich while on tour promoting the Bellavista Terrace compilation. Additionally, the set comes with seven compact discs of their B-sides, radio sessions and rare, hard-to-find and unreleased demos, including a collection of fourteen unreleased songs the duo recorded together in 1991.
