In 1993, Nirvana broke the mould with MTV Unplugged in New York, a concert that took everyone by surprise and revealed another side of Kurt Cobain and his band. Without amplifiers or artifice, the band delivered a vulnerable, raw rock, a true sonic confession that still resonates today. Thirty years on, this album remains a cornerstone of rock and a source of inspiration for thousands of musicians. To mark the occasion and pay tribute to this unique work, seven British, American and French artists (Current Joys, Camille Jansen, Brad Stank, Levitation Room, Casino Hearts, Chris Staples and Far Caspian) have come together to reinterpret the album's most legendary tracks. These artists, each with their own style and history, have made the songs their own while respecting their original soul, reminding us just how well Nirvana captured the essence of a generation in search of meaning and sincerity. In this tribute, we find the raw emotions and raw energy of Unplugged, but also a new, contemporary sensibility, carried by the voices and sounds of today. It's a tribute that doesn't seek to imitate, but to explore these songs from a new angle, in all honesty. For fans of Nirvana from the very beginning and for those who are still discovering the band, this album is a bridge between eras, between rock's past and rock's present.
