Kofi Ayivor

Kofi Ayivor is a Ghanaian conga player, born in Sokoto, Nigeria on 15 December 1939. He grew up in Denu on the eastern coast of Ghana and was trained by his uncle to be a master drummer in the Ewe tradition. Known for its polyrhythms, Kofi's talent led him to tour Europe and record albums with various artists. After a concert in Oslo, Norway in 1973, he joined [a101784]. In the 90s, he reunited with [a2625750] for two more albums.
