Sandy Denny was a British singer, songwriter, and musician known for her work with Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, and as a solo artist. Born on January 6, 1947 in Wimbledon, London, England, she made significant contributions to the folk rock genre during her career. With two spells in Fairport Convention and a brief stint with Fotheringay, Sandy also collaborated with artists such as *Richard Thompson*. She tragically passed away on April 21, 1978 in England from a cerebral haemorrhage.
