Ici d'Ailleurs

Ici D'ailleurs is an independent French label located in Nancy and created by Stephane Gregoire from the dissolution of the associative label Sine Terra Firma. It was originally known as a compilation released by Sine Terra Firma in 1996, but later became the name of the independent label.

The label has an eclectic editorial line and does not adhere to any specific musical genre. Its success began with the release of Yann Tiersen's third album, "Le phare," in 1998. This allowed Ici D'ailleurs to expand its catalog and showcase both recognized and emerging artists who share a common focus on rich and relevant composition.

In addition to its main label, Ici D'ailleurs has also established two subdivisions. The first is 0101, which focuses on electronic music artists who use a creative process primarily based on electronics. The second is OuMoPo, inspired by the literary movement OuLiPo, which invites artists to remaster parts of Ici D'ailleurs' catalog while adhering to a preestablished charter. This collection includes six albums that combine graphic elements created by JC Menu with new constraints imposed by oupabiens.

One notable project from Ici D'ailleurs is "This Immortal Coil," which pays tribute to the group Coil through reinterpretations by various artists including Yaël Naim, Bonnie Prince Billy, Yann Tiersen,
