The Langan Band

SARM West Studios is a UK recording studio located in Notting Hill, London. Founded by Trevor Horn and his partner & wife Jill Sinclair in 1982, the studio was originally known as Basing Street Studios or Island Studios. The studios have a rich history, with notable artists such as Bob Marley's personal chef cooking there in the 1980s and George Michael recording his album "Faith" with the cathedral organ at SARM. In 1984, Studio 1 at Sarm West was used for the iconic Band Aid recording of "Do They Know It's Christmas". Today, SARM West Studios is owned by SPZ Group, which also includes record labels ZTT Records and Stiff Records.

The studios offer three suites and residency options for freelance engineers and producers. They are part of the larger Sarm Studios complex that houses offices for SPZ-owned record labels ZTT Records and Stiff Records, as well as publishing companies Perfect Songs and Unforgettable Songs.

Over the years, many talented engineers have worked at SARM West Studios including Gary Langan who served as Director & senior engineer from 1979 to 1983.
