Tru Thoughts is an independent UK label that specializes in a unique blend of jazz, breakbeat, hip-hop, soul, funk and beats. Founded in 1999 by Robert Luis (A&R) and Paul Jonas (Label Manager), this Brighton-based record label has its roots in the success of their highly respected club nights, including the legendary phonic:hoop. Originally operating from under Rob's stairs, Tru Thoughts has since moved to a more comfortable office space. The label celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2009.

With a diverse catalogue of releases, Tru Thoughts has established itself as a leading authority in the music industry.
