Like the words of a hit song, the story of Chalino Sánchez’s life has been repeated over and over again, as well as the theories about who killed him and why; more than 30 years later, fans and reporters still obsessively analyze the clues. Corridos de los Félix y Los Quintero features songs that were not played on the radio, nor were they of commercial interest to any major label during Sánchez’s lifetime. It wasn’t until a decade after his death that they were compiled by the powerhouse Mexican label Musart Records for CD, copies of which are now collector-coveted as well. Here, they appear on vinyl for the very first time.
