David Crosby (born August 14, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was an influential American singer-songwriter and musician. He was a founding member of the iconic bands The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. With a successful solo career alongside his contributions to these legendary groups, Crosby's music left an indelible mark on the folk rock genre. His unique voice and poetic songwriting captivated audiences for decades.
Crosby's musical journey began in the 1960s as part of The Byrds, where he helped pioneer the fusion of rock and folk music. As a member of Crosby, Stills & Nash, he continued to push boundaries with their harmonies and socially conscious lyrics that resonated with a generation.
Throughout his career, David Crosby released numerous acclaimed albums showcasing his introspective songwriting style. His talent as both a vocalist and guitarist earned him widespread recognition and respect from fellow musicians and fans alike. Sadly, David Crosby passed away on January 18th, 2023; however, his legacy lives on through his timeless music.

Two-time Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash, David Crosby, for the first time ever will release a solo live CD plus DVD package. The folk-rock legend and cultural force for over fifty years continues his late period renaissance with the release of David Crosby and The Lighthouse Band Live at the Capitol Theatre.

Continuing to forge new paths in his eighth decade, Crosby again joins forces with Becca Stevens, Michelle Willis, and Michael League, the three musicians known as The Lighthouse Band, who he’s been working with since 2016’s Lighthouse album. Far from just a solo live album / DVD, working with his first new band since CPR (Crosby, Pevar and Raymond), Crosby and The Lighthouse Band quickly discovered their chemistry and took a collaborative leap during their 2018 tour together in support of Crosby’s seventh solo album. 

Recorded and filmed at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, in a particularly meaningful turn for Crosby, the sixteen track live offering includes an uncut gem with the song“1974”-a long-lost demo track that Crosby had floating around on his computer hard drive for decades.
