Glassnote is an American record label launched in 2007 by a renowned music executive. With a focus on indie rock and alternative rock artists, Glassnote has also released music from popular artists across various genres. The label is distributed by RED Distribution in the United States and signed a global distribution agreement with Universal Music Group in 2014, excluding Australia/New Zealand (Liberator) and South Africa (Just Music). In November of 2018, Glassnote made a distribution deal with AWAL, followed by a new partnership with The Orchard starting June 2022.

Jade Elizabeth Bird is a British singer, songwriter, and musician. Born in Hexham, Northumberland, England on October 1, 1997, she has quickly made a name for herself in the music industry. In 2017, Bird embarked on a tour of the United States with Brent Cobb and played at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. She also had the opportunity to open for acclaimed artists such as First Aid Kit and Son Little. With her band consisting of talented musicians Will Rees (Mystery Jets), Matt Johnson, and Jesske Hume, Bird released her debut EP Something American in July 2017. Her vocals have been described as raw and robust by Rolling Stone magazine who named her as an up-and-coming country artist to watch.

Jade Bird releases her new album Different Kinds of Light which follows her self-titled 2019 debut album. Different Kinds of Light is at it's most basic about falling in love, and at its most complex, the chaos of trying to get away from your past.
