Jayda G is a Canadian DJ and producer hailing from Grand Forks, British Columbia. With a passion for music that spans across genres, Jayda has made her mark in the industry with her unique sound and captivating performances.
Having relocated to Vancouver in 2013, Berlin in 2016, and London in 2019, Jayda's journey has allowed her to immerse herself in different musical landscapes and cultures. This global experience has undoubtedly influenced her artistic vision and contributed to her diverse range of productions.
From 2015 to 2018, Jayda co-ran Freakout Cult alongside DJ Fett Burger. This collaborative effort showcased their shared love for underground sounds and cemented their status as tastemakers within the electronic music scene.

Ninja Tune is an independent record label based in London, England. Established in 1990 by the duo known as Coldcut, Ninja Tune was created as a platform to release underground music free from the constraints of major labels. Inspired by a visit to Japan, Coldcut sought to pioneer the emerging hip-hop/electro scene of the eighties.

The label's success can be attributed to its constantly growing roster of diverse artists and their innovative approach to music and multimedia. With the combined expertise of Black and More, along with the graphic vision of Openmind and sound business practices, Ninja Tune has become known for producing quality music while providing unparalleled support to its artists.

Notable releases include DJ Food's 'Jazz Brakes' series, which showcased instrumental hip-hop cuts produced by Coldcut. Through their dedication to musical excellence and artist empowerment, Ninja Tune has solidified its position as a leading force in the independent music industry.

Co-produced with Jack Peñate (who has previously worked with the likes of Sault, David Byrne and Adele), with contributions from Lisa-Kaindé Diaz (of Ibeyi), Ed Thomas (Stormzy, Nia Archives, Jorja Smith) and more.&nbsp;

Guy brings Jayda’s own voice and words more prominently into focus than ever before, across 13 tracks that draw on her House, Disco, RnB and Soul roots while emphasizing her pop songwriting sensibilities, interspersed with archival recordings of her late father, the eponymous William Richard Guy.
