Korn is a Grammy Award winning Metal band from Bakersfield, California. They are often credited with creating and popularizing the nu metal genre. Formed in 1993, the band has had a constant formation for 12 years until some members left to pursue other ventures. Korn's music combines heavy metal and hip-hop elements, and they gained a dedicated fan base through their intense live shows. In 2011, they released an experimental album that mixed metal with dubstep, earning them the "Revolver Golden Gods Awards" for best album of the year.

The band was formed after L.A.P.D., which consisted of Reginald Arvizu, James Shaffer, David Silveria, and Richard Morill disbanded due to drug addictions. Seeking a new singer, they found Jonathan Davis who was performing as the frontman of Sex Art. With producer Ross Robinson on board, Korn released their first demo "Neidermeyer's Mind" in 1993.

Throughout their career, Korn has experienced lineup changes but remained committed to their unique sound. Notable members include Jonathan Davis (vocals), James Shaffer (guitar), Reginald Arvizu (bass), David Silveria (drums), Brian Welch (guitar), and Ray Luzier (drums). Their music continues to captivate fans worldwide.

Loma Vista is a record label founded by Tom Whalley, former chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Records and Executive of A&R at Interscope Records. The label was initially a joint venture with Republic Records and is based in Beverly Hills and Brooklyn.
In July 2014, the label announced it had changed strategic partners and was now part of Concord Music Group.

Korn changed the world with the release of their self-titled debut album. It was a record that would pioneer a genre, while the band’s enduring success points to a larger cultural moment. The Fader notes, “There was an unexpected opening in the pop landscape and Korn articulated a generational coming-of-angst for a claustrophobic, self-surveilled consciousness. The level of Korn’s reach transcends accolades and platinum certifications. They are “a genuine movement in a way bands cannot be now,” attests The Ringer.
