This singular mug celebrates an iconic image taken from Nick Cave’s 1998 photoshoot with Polly Borland, echoing the design and presidential blue colour of the T-shirt worn in the resulting photograph.

`Back in 1998, I was set to do a photo shoot with my dear friend and photographer, Polly Borland. My manager at the time, Rayner Jesson - sadly no longer with us - asked me into his office. He suggested that perhaps I should not be photographed wearing a suit, that the suit thing was getting a bit boring, and I should be more down with the kids and wear something a bit more contemporary. I suggested, in no uncertain terms, that he could suck my dick.

Next day, I was doing the shoot - in a suit - and Rayner, never one to miss an opportunity to cause a bit of a ruckus, marched into the studio with a t-shirt that said ‘Suck My Dick’ on it.

“You mean like this?” he said.

I threw on the t-shirt, just because I loved the guy (and the t-shirt actually) and Polly took the shot.

In memory of the great and genuinely anarchic Rayner Jesson I have created a variety of Suck My Dick items for your pleasure including this a Suck My Dick mug. Enjoy!´
