Stockholm-based composer Shida Shahabi returns with her sophomore album, a rich and hugely impressive work that resonates with a powerful depth and sees her continuing to push into deeper, more expansive sonic realms. Mixed and mastered by Francesco Donadello, it reveals an increased focus on ambient texture, drone and extended duration, with her piano set against Linnea Olsson’s cello, Gus Loxbo’s double bass, and a 4-piece choir.
