Echo is an independent record label that was launched by Chrysalis Group in 1994. Since its inception, Echo has been dedicated to promoting and distributing quality music from a diverse range of artists.

One of the notable achievements of Echo was its distribution partnership with MCA Music Entertainment GmbH in Germany, which began in 1995. This collaboration allowed Echo to reach a wider audience and establish a strong presence in the German music market.

Throughout its history, Echo has released several singles that have garnered attention and acclaim. Some of these include *Melanie Garside - Has And To Do*, *Subcircus - Shelley's On The Telephone*, *Engineers - Home*, *The Stands - When The Night Falls In* (with b-sides *Come Out From In* and *A Long Time Away From*) and *Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Weight Of The World* (with b-sides *Mercy* and *Feel It Now*). These releases showcase the label's commitment to showcasing talented artists across various genres.

Supergrass is an English alternative rock band from Oxford. They were active from 1993-2010 and reformed in 2019 for live touring and a box set. The band was formed by Gaz, Mick, and Danny, with Gaz's older brother joining in 2002. During a brief hiatus in 2008, Danny and Gaz performed as a duo called The Hot Rats, while also playing as Diamond Hoo Ha Men. All members went on to have solo careers or collaborate with each other.
The band initially came together when two members of The Jennifers joined forces with Gaz after meeting at a pub where they all worked part-time. Supergrass gained popularity throughout the '90s and early 2000s with their unique sound that blended alternative rock with Britpop influences.
In addition to their successful albums like "I Should Coco" and "In It for the Money," Supergrass recorded an abandoned seventh album in 2009 that has never been released. Despite some internal conflicts, the band remains highly regarded for their energetic live performances and catchy songs.

From the vein-busting opener "In It For The Money" to the stoopid, human-beatbox closer of "Sometimes I Make You Sad", Supergrass's second album fairly defines the term "classic". "Going Out" swivels on an outrageous, 14-bar passage of Memphis brass and buzzes like the Beatles on the roof at Apple, while "Sun Hits The Sky" has all the furious bass-runs of the Who's "I Can See For Miles". And "Late In The Day" breaks into a guitar solo of such unindulgent homesick beauty it could cause pavements to weep. God would have to buy a Gibson and crib off John Lennon to top half of the songs on Money.
