Description
The Boys from London were formed in 1976 and were one of the earliest punk bands. During their initial active phase from 1976 to 1981, the band released four albums, including Alternative Chartbusters, which featured the hit Brickfield Nights. Due to increasing demand over the years, the band decided to come out of retirement in 1999 and have been playing concerts worldwide ever since. Their latest album, Punk Rock Menopause, was released in 2014. Power Cut was recorded in London in 1996. By chance, Campino, singer of the German rock band Die Toten Hosen, was in London at the same time and was spontaneously invited to the studio session. The result? He took over lead vocals on all tracks. Limited to 200 copies on black 180-gram vinyl, packaged in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes by Campino and singer/guitarist Matt Dangerfield.
