The roots of Chrysalis stretch back to a tiny flat in West London in 1967, when former university social secretaries, Chris Wright and Terry Ellis, linked their flair for managing and booking bands to form the Ellis Wright Agency. After trying to release their bands' records via other companies, they decided to start their own label.

In 1968, they signed a licensing deal with Island Records with the proviso that if their acts achieved an agreed number of hits, they would be awarded a label of their own. Within a year, this tally was reached and Chrysalis Records was born.

Over the years, Chrysalis went through various ownership changes. In 1985, Chris Wright bought out Terry Ellis and later sold the label to EMI in 1991. EMI was then acquired by Universal Music Group in 2012 before selling the Parlophone Label Group (including Chrysalis) to Warner Music Group in 2013.

Ultravox were a British new wave band formed in London in 1973. They achieved great success between 1980-86, with seven Top Ten albums and seventeen Top 40 singles in the UK. Their most popular hit was "Vienna" in 1981.

The original line-up featured John Foxx on vocals, Billy Currie on keyboards, Warren Cann on drums, Chris Cross on bass, and Stevie Shears on guitar for the first two albums. Robin Simon replaced Shears for their third album. In 1979, Foxx left to pursue solo projects and was replaced by Midge Ure.

This 'classic' 80s line-up recorded numerous hits including "Vienna," "Hymn," and "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes." However, prior to recording their ill-received U-Vox album in May 1986, Cann was asked to leave due to irreconcilable differences with the rest of the band.

40th Anniversary Edition of Ultravox's Lament album, originally released in April 1984, followed 3 successful albums with Midge Ure on vocals, along with two full world tours. Produced by the band themselves in the latter half of 1983. The album includes the UK top 10 and worldwide hit Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, along with the singles One Small Day and the title track Lament.

7CD/1 DVD - CDBX 12" Box Format:&nbsp;Limited Edition pressing of 5,000 units worldwide, 12" sized Box Set with 8 Discs (7CD/1DVD), a 20 page booklet, featuring an 8,000 word interview conducted by John Earls (Classic Pop), a reproduction tour programme and previously unseen photographs.

This new 72 track Deluxe Edition box set pulls together a newly remastered version of the album, all the single versions, b-sides, 12" remixes and rarities, along with 45 previously unreleased tracks, including a brand new 1980s style extended remix of every track on the album by Moby, Steve Wilson and Blank&amp; Jones and Midge Ure, new 5.1 and Stereo mixes by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), newly mixed full concert from Hammersmith Odeon 1984, and a handful of work in progress mixes.
