Joe Meek

Joe Meek was an English record producer, recording engineer, and songwriter. He is best known for his work with *The Tornados*, including their hit song "Telstar" in 1962. Born on April 5, 1929 in Newent, Gloucestershire, Meek tragically died by murder-suicide in London on February 3, 1967. He is widely regarded as the UK's first independent pop record producer and was a co-owner of R.G.M. Sound.

Meek's unique sound and innovative production techniques set him apart from his contemporaries. His contributions to the music industry have influenced countless artists and producers over the years.
