The Moonlandingz

The Moonlandingz are a UK group with a taste for the theatrical and the unruly. Their debut album, Interplanetary Class Classics, introduced a project that treats rock, pop and satire as part of the same conversation, while No Rocket Required showed there was more to them than a one-off conceit.

That tension between character and song is what gives The Moonlandingz their shape. Even at their most exaggerated, there is a real feel for melody and mischief underneath it, which helps explain why the records land as more than novelty. They make pop music that keeps one eye on performance and the other on the messier business of being human.
