Founded in 1999 as a sister label to Epitaph, with the slogan Real Artists Creating Records on their Own Terms - Anti- have delivered an impressive roster of artists of different genres over the years, including Tom Waits, The Beths, Elliott Smith, Ezra Furman, Grinderman, Kate Bush, Marianne Faithful, Mavis Staples, Nick Cave, Sam Akpro and Tinariwen, to name a few.
