Lo Recordings has been purveying high quality experimental music since 1995. Their innovative catalogue spans a wide range of genres including house, easy listening, ambient, electronica, drum and bass, music concrete and country and western. With over 50 releases to their name, Lo Recordings has worked with renowned artists such as *Aphex Twin*, *Blur*, *Mike Flowers* and *Squarepusher*. They are also known for their groundbreaking 'Root' project in 1998 which featured one-minute guitar pieces by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth distributed among diverse artists like David Bowie, Scanner, Gavin Turk, Stereolab and Angela Bulloch resulting in an album packaged in a hoover bag.
From the minimalism of Mileece to the new wave punk funk of The Chap, Lo Recordings continues to explore various musical territories. They have even ventured into the mysteries of 70s library music. As one of the UK's most consistently unusual labels, they have released music from notable acts such as Red Snapper, Luke Vibert and Moog legend Jean Jacques Perrey.
